It’s Halloween! Are you going to transform yourself? I think I may scrawl a letter on my cheek and blacken my eye.
Susana Raab understands transformation pretty well. No one captures a gaggle of Colonels or a bladder-relieved superhero better. Hats off to you, Raab: you’re our Halloween photographic inspiration.

Looks good on the web here, but I will never forget seeing Susana’s prints on a table at Review Santa Fe a few years back. Amidst so much work that all looked the same, or looked pretentious, or so serious, Susana’s work literally made me laugh out loud…it just felt so good and sincere to feel that response with her images…and there was really no bad aftertaste that made you feel like you were laughing at someone’s expense. We were all in on the joke.
