Part two of fun food photography in the Times includes an online feature that contrasts progressive foodie types with the insides of their refrigerators. The images are shot by one of my favorites, Lars Tunbjork.

Why does the word “fridge” have a d, while “refrigerator” does not? Life, it’s so perplexing.



Fridge comes from Frigidaire (the biggest maker of refrigerators by far back in the day), not from refrigerator.
