What the Hasselblad slinging photography snobs here are trying to say is that if you can’t afford to buy every new piece of equipment and glass that is available, you are a gimmicky, underclass hayseed, who has no right to even touch an SLR camera.

Oh i think your all being a bit unfair.
The script is really poor on that site and doesn’t produce very nice results.
But I have seen good results with photoshop.
I think the point is most people cant afford a proper tilt shift camera, or to shoot 4×5, or medium format, or medium format digital.
It just making photography that bit more accessible.

Oh, my Hasselblad Flexbody does a much better tilt.

It’s the level of ignorance that worries me. People go ‘oh, that’s cool’ without realising that they’re not looking at anything like the real thing.
Tilt-shift maker doesn’t make fake tilt-shift images, it just makes fake tilt images. I don’t get the feeling that people even understand what tilt-shift lenses can actually do – i.e. you can rotate the area that’s in focus for example. This is really just the first cousin of faking bokkeh with blur in Photoshop.
