Here is a thing that makes my life better: Jen Snow’s Things I Don’t Understand and am Definitely Not Going to Talk About.
It’s a blog about.. well, it’s sort of self-explanatory. I read it every day, and inexplicably, it makes me think about imagery.

I encountered Mena yesterday in the glossy webpages of New York Magazine, and she reminded me that I wanted to talk about reality. Or, rather– reality shows about photography.
Because there is one now, from USA, and one in the works, from Bravo.
A new type of image has popped up and I’m seeing it more than I’d like; the sad newsroom getting some bad news. This one above was in the Times last night.

I was notified of Jen Davis‘ new website a few days ago by Facebook, and I nearly whooped for joy; I have googled “Jen Davis” so many times, but I’ve always had to find her images from a gallery or group show announcement or what have you.
Felix R. Cid has been confusing me with his pictures for years, but lately the confusion has turned to a pleasant sort of perplexed awe. I first became aware of Cid when he was a student at ICP, shooting fashiony pictures of his always remarkably attractive women friends.
