I first crossed paths with Finn O’Hara over at PhotoShelter- see my post here about his Underwater Hockey and Mountain Dew projects.
Finn has been steadily making rather kickass work since that time- work that spans many styles I might add- the dude is versatile.
Since I’m all woozy romantic summer lately I figured I’d post some of Finn’s landscapes. Because who doesn’t like a clean, color, square Italian view?

What is Finn doing these days? Funny you might ask! Let’s pose the question.
What Are You up to, Finn O’Hara?
“Things are good. Toronto seems to have attracted a lot of rain, and folks be freakin’.
I’ve been working on a job for the Canadian Tourism Commission, which is taking me across the country for the better part of the summer. We’re producing small, 2 to 3 minutes videos on tourist destinations across Canada, and they’ll be used virally via YouTube and other internet portals. We’re a small team, consisting of a producer, director, camera man, and myself (“b” roll, and stills). My job is to take stills, and get all the extra footage of the location, and anything that I see in between locations.
The main camera I’m using is the 5D Mark II, as it takes great stills and video. I’m also taking two old friends along as well: my Hasselblad 500CM, and my Dad’s Pentax Spotomatic (loaded with Kodachrome, which has been donated by a few kind people across the country).
So far we’ve done Toronto, and the provinces of Saskatchewan and Quebéc. I’m off to Manitoba this Thursday for a week, and then off to British Columbia, and Prince Edward Island. It’s been so great to see many parts of the country that I thought I’d never see. I’ve attached a few out-takes from our travels thus far (can’t show any of the client stuff yet), and will forward you the video links once they’re up.”

I love an outtake!! It seems Finn is doing work on the awesome scale of Georgis.
Show us that Kodachrome when you’re through with it, friend. Curiosity is us!
See more Finn, here.
