Alex Prager, Openings, and Red Drinks on Planes.

I like this picture very much. She has Midwestern bone structure. I don't know what that means, but I said it in my head so I'm sharing it.
Today I was sitting around thinking about things and then the thing I thought of was Alex Prager. And how her pictures are like candy and good to look at. So I went to her website and Lo! she is having an opening tomorrow at Yancey, with new work!
Can you believe it? It’s called “Week-end”. I appreciate an unnecessary hyphen, don’t-you?

Here are some sneak peeks.

This is an older picture, but my favorite Prager:

I think because I like the grand tradition of red drinks on planes, a la Eggleston:

Go have some red drinks and openings in the next 48 hours. Here’s where to go in NYC. The rest of you I can’t help today, sorry. (AMF, yoyo)**

my vote for freshest photo content in blogosphere, good work, good variety, and just enough personal confessional to keep it interesting and OT.

Ha! In regards to the “Midwestern bone structure,” I have to agree with you. I’m from the Midwest and have that same round face shape. Now if only I could get my eyeliner as perfect as hers…

I don’t see Midwestern bone structure – I nee more of an east coast New York or Connecticut. But then again, I see things differently than a lot of people I know so maybe that’s the difference.
