I did a little of the good old photo research today to find other fish photographs, as you know I like to find a theme and swim with it. And up popped Dirk Westphal.
1. I’ve never met anyone named Dirk, it’s like a name from the movies.
2. Dirk makes fish portraits with incredible titles like “Two Beavers helping a Beetle Up the Mountain”.
3. Dirk also puts fish on surfboards.
4. Dirk seems almost too good to be true!
have a look.

I love these pictures very much. To honor them, please buy my fish for your wall.

My dear,
Check Dirk Bouts (or Dieric short for Diederik) on wikipedia. This 15th century Flemish Painter might surprise you.
The name was widespread from the 11th century in this region. But I have to admit film had not been invented at this day of age. Dirk is still a common name in Flanders. (south of the low countries)
yours truly,
willem.
I knew Dirk when he was going by the name of Lucky Louie down in Chinatown.
ask him.
Dude…I never thought I could be intrigued by pictures of goldfish.
