PDN 30′s Easy Breezy Beautiful Marcelo Gomes

| More

I’m like a giddy child when PDN 30 is announced. And not just because its fun to see people feted– it’s fun to see visual trends feted too. One trend that stood out in a major way this year was a soft, over-exposed editorial style. Rainbows and chiffon and sunglasses and gauzy, sun-baked models.

And film, surprisingly. Lots of grainy film. So I’m not surprised, but pleased to see Marcelo Gomes get the nod. Gomes shoots for Nylon, Tokion, New York Mag, a Vogue or two, and himself. It’s hard to tell what is editorial and what is personal, which is my favorite thing.

Have a look see.
