I love it when two things that don’t traditionally go together make a surprising and delicious result. Like ketchup on a tuna melt.
And like commercial lighting in an editorial context.
Andrew McConnell’s The Last Colony is a good example of the latter. About the politics and injustices of colonization in Western Sahara, this project includes some stunning portraits.









Overwhelming effect.
I hope this gets the exposure it deserves.
