I think from now on Fridays will be In the Studio day. It’s just so much fun. I found an excellent studio behind-the-scenes recently in PDN’s Emerging Photographer Magazine– that of celebrity photographer Brian Smith.
I made a picture of me in my studio (aka living room) holding pictures of Brian’s Smith’s studio. Very Duane Michals of me, no???
Also my scanner is broken. Also excuse the morning hair.
I added handy numbers so you could see what’s going on.

Nice! I’m a little jealous of Mr. Smith’s setup, especially his lighting and terabytes and point-and-shoot 8×10!
Have a great weekend!

Nicely done, a great little piece of blogging. Didn’t mind the hair.

Is that a real Eames? I love that chair. Well at least the way it looks, I’ve never actually sat in one.
Thanks for the shoutout, Rachel! I loved that Brian was up for letting us into his studio by way of that portrait. (And I too love your Eames lounge chair.)

The chair is a Heywood Wakefield…from our matchng dining table and chairs…
Rachel,
This is sooo cute. You really brought my studio to life. The chair is Heywood-Wakefield which was stolen from our matching dining table and chairs when my wife wasn’t looking…
