I took a picture of a star! And I love eggs.
I have a minor new gig reporting on celebrity news before daybreak, so I’m afraid you guys are going to get the brunt of that for a while. It’s just too hard for me to start thinking about William Eggleston after I’ve learned that Heidi Montag has hired her psychic as her manager.
All the mean girls are talking to her now.
I saw Daniel Gordon’s flying pictures when I worked in the admissions office at ICP, and then not again for years. He went to Yale instead, you see.
And now he has a book out with a forward by Gregory Crewdson, so I guess he made the correct choice.
I’m like a giddy child when PDN 30 is announced. One trend that stood out in a major way this year was a soft, over-exposed editorial style. Rainbows and chiffon and sunglasses and gauzy, sun-baked models.
Oh No! Anthony musn’t die!!!
Gahhh it’s that time again- when the images from the WKC Dog Show come out in the magazines and I laugh and feel oh so amused, in that delightful Christopher Guest-ian way. No one does it better than Landon Nordeman, and he’s true to form this year.
I did the photo research today to find fish photographs, as I like to pick a theme and swim with it. And up popped Dirk Westphal. I’ve never met anyone named Dirk, it’s like a name from the movies.
Guys, it’s an exciting day here at A Photography Blog. It’s our (first) annual fundraising drive! Hold on while I channel Ira Glass.
I’m trying to learn things about motion. I consulted Motionographer today to that end, and found Nuit Blanche. I love it; it’s violent and sparkly and slowwwww.
